He destroys his helmet (leaving behind his old self) and kills the man who called him a disappointment after he killed his own father! Then he nearly kills hux and takes control. He grows a lot through the film.

Why do you think it’s bad?

In what way?

Yeah all the criticism is super nit-picky. Your take is good.

Or Kylo lied and her parents were somebodys.

It was way more fitting for Luke (and Hamill) than an obi-wan style death.

True, but the FO lost both its supreme leader and Captain Phasma, and there is supposedly outer rim support for the Resistance.

It’s actually really good and surprising.

It’s almost like those events could have happened before the ship events were happening...

It’s a fantastic film that left me staring at the screen in awe many times. It’s different in many great ways and manages to develop all the new characters from TFA that are WORTH caring about (Snoke was boring and Kylo killing him was a huge character moment).

Luke IS the hero though! He singlehandedly stopped the FO from wiping out the Republic once and for all.

C- but from a character development standpoint it’s absolutely necessary.

It’s a fantastic film that left me staring at the screen in awe many times. It’s different yet still familiar (not overly familiar) and manages to flesh out all the new characters and Luke.

Not at all. It’s something I never knew I wanted but loved all the way through.

He’s also OLD and Rey and Kylo are young.

I think he wanted them to remember him like he was the last time they saw him, since his appearance is similar to when he nearly kills Kylo.

None of her plan was strategic! It was improvised and the crash sequence is awesome.

Not only is it a great Star Wars movie, it’s a great movie in general.

TFA laid the groundwork for a remake of episodes 5 and 6.

Kylo killing the guy who literally called him a kid in a mask was epic, and now he can be the villain we wanted to be and not a whiny kid.
