There is no way of paying real money to accomplish any of those feats in those games. You can pay money to buy the characters here or spend 40 hours unlocking each. That’s the problem.

DLC characters will actually take more than that.

Challenges and rewards give you 300 credits, heroes cost upwards of 40k and dlc characters are confirmed to be even more.

Ruining a game this fun should be a crime. Their design choices have turned the best Star Wars game in a while into a pay to win grind fest. 40 hours for a single hero is ridiculous and dlc characters will apparently take longer!

edit: never mind

You could just rent it

Battlefront 2 went from one of my most anticipated games to my most disappointing game of the year. 40 hours for one hero and 15 rounds for one crate is unacceptable, especially when compared to Overwatch’s progression system. The fact that everyone gets the same reward regardless of how well they do is also a huge

Yes credits are buyable.

It’s not about being good though, the rewards are the same for everyone regardless of performance. The mvp gets the same reward as the guy with a 0-20 kd. The unlocks are literally just a time waster that have nothing to do with skill.

Loot boxes are Overwatch’s progression too but I think that is handled well.

Still, you get 250 credits regardless of performance in the battle and characters cost upwards of 40k.

There are daily challenges but the rewards are insanely small, like 300 credits for a couple hours work. Heroes cost upwards of 40k.

It’s silly to buy a Star Wars game to play as Star Wars characters?

Except if I’m the mvp in overwatch I get the most rewards on my team, and if I’m the mvp in Battlefront I get the same reward as the worst guy (this is real I played the beta).

The loot boxes aren’t the deal breaker for me, it’s the awful progression system. 40 hours for one hero and 15 rounds for one crate is unacceptable, especially when compared to Overwatch’s progression system. The fact that everyone gets the same reward regardless of how well they do is also a huge turnoff. I can’t

I played the beta and it was very noticeable. The people with the best cards dominated the mvp board but no matter how well you do you get the same reward as everyone else. You also get cards for heroes you don’t have, and it takes 40 hours to unlock a hero regularly.

Or just rent it instead to just play the campaign.

Keep in mind the progression system sucks so the mvp of a team gets the same reward as everyone else and heroes like darth Vader take 40 hours to unlock.

I’m pretty sure this game is the same. Also the progression system is screwed up so the mvp on a team gets the same reward as the worst player.

Have fun getting blown to bits by people who are willing to outspend you. It also takes 40 hours to unlock Darth Vader.
