I will be in that second category whenever I get mine. Charge it up at work, power my home with it at night. The days I stay home, my solar can charge it up. This is the future that I want.

This makes me curious about the new Mac laptop my company issued me a few months ago. I’ve noticed that when plugged in the battery charges up to around 75-80%. That is what it does by default. You have to click the battery icon and request the laptop charge all the way. I am guessing this was done to increase battery…
Basically the same philosophies people take with their smartphones, makes sense since they’re both using Li-ion batteries. Either you take care of it, and it lasts, or you don’t and get a new one more often.
As someone considering an EV really soon, there can only be 2 ways to go about maintaining an EV battery:
Absolute Dream DD with no strings attached. My inner teenager wants an R34 GTR V-spec and nothing less:
46% of American households have at least 1 gun. That’s about 150 million people. 0.1% of that is 150,000 people. 45k people died in 2020 from guns. Less than 0.03% (and accidents were less than 1k)
99.9% of American gun owners are responsible as hell with them.
See my reply to op.
It’s not a lie, and the article is right, it’s not about it being better for the earth or cheap/free to use, it’s about it being convenient.
Good points about the history of safety tech. There are lots of pathways to get to here; legislation is just one way.
Yeah I look forward to people being bricked out of driving their cars from false positives or defective sensors.
This is pretty common in the US, and while not all garages have the occupancy sensors, I much prefer taking a ticket and paying to exit.
Traffic Calming measures:
True, though if the thief is smart, maybe he/she will go steal another bike or car. I personally have one in my car, no way that the thief can find it in less than 5min. Ok it would be more difficult to hide one on my motorcycle.
I disagree. Now sure, Airtags are a cheap, quick, and dirty way of getting it done, but it comes with many pitfalls. Mainly, they can be detected very easily by anyone, not just the owner.
If this happened before Dash Cams became common:
No. People in buses should most definitely NOT have to wait in the same traffic as cars. Private cars are the least efficient way to get around, and should be penalized as such.
As a Canadian who’s been living in Texas for the last 13 years, this is something I still cannot wrap my head around. The mental gymnastics are n a whole other level. People will leave guns in their nightstands, because they need access to it in case of a break-in to protect their loved ones, because bad guys are…
As a Canadian, this article is sci-fi. The idea of carrying a gun with me is pure insanity.
The overwhelming majority of gun owners are irresponsible idiots.
