Well yeah, who else is buying new cars anymore? Not low income people. Tax credits like this are never for the average person, it is to spur growth. This just incentivizes someone who was already going to buy a new car and in a position to do so to buy electric, then in a few years they get passed down to the average…

I’m certain I saw a few of these at San Antonio International. I’m not sure what line you had to be in, to use them, but because I was in the normal peasant “take your shoes off” line, I imagine it was for TSA Precheck people.

Unfortunately, the problem is a lot more complex and it’s difficult to say if direct sales would save any money.

I think it’s kind of ridiculous to even imply that you might think that the hosts endorse or share the guys beliefs.

Well, yes, the spread of this kind of information has increased awareness and therefore anxiety, but I find it surprising that people still act that way as often as they do because of the cameras. Cameras have led to so much more prosecution and conviction of these types of people.

So.....I’ve been on Frontier, Allegiant, and Spirit a few times in my life. They’re not airlines I would recommend or otherwise seek to fly with....but I get it.

For the record, I lived in Pensacola for several years and been in Florida all my life. If you’re going West on I-10, anything past Tallahassee is simply considered L.A. (Lower Alabama).

If it’s not clear by now, there have been a lot of outages and there have been a lot of problems leading to many large parties (let’s use the ENTIRE airline industry as an example), abandoning the platform.

Oh, and for the record, cars ending up in a ditch isn’t always a feasible consequence for bad/drunk drivers....especially if that ditch is, instead, your front yard or garage door.

You’ll have to explain what a “properly designed” roundabout would look like on a 20mph neighborhood street.

Pay off all debt, probably around $200k including current mortgage.
Get a bigger house for my family. Probably $500k, given my area.
Get my wife an EV, maybe a Polestar 3. $100k configured.
Get an imported car (or cars) under 25yr rule, up to $50k total.
Keep my original house as rental.
$150k in a retirement account or…

I wonder if GM considers (or cares) how this might impact their customer satisfaction or ability to retain repeat buyers? I’m sure some analysis told them it’s worth the tradeoff for whatever incremental subscription revenue they will make.
