I suspect he was fired for $$$ reasons being the 3rd movie contractually obligated can’t be cheap, vs the let’s just use the morals clause to save a few bucks or go a different way.  If he is brought back it’ll be a lot less than originally contracted for.

He turned the GOTG into a watered down Farscape movie. People who think it was great didn’t watch Farscape and don’t know how much he just copied. And even if you think the first one was good no way can you seriously suggest there was merit to the second.

Well, at least we might finally get a good Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
