To GWAR.
Pretty hard. Like, on a scale of 1-10, my rocking goes to 11.
ME TOO!
Nope.
I don't, unfortunately.
I have a process to get ready for shows and it involves drinking lots of likewarm water, tea, and not talking a lot before/after shows.
Metal: Difficult, but as of right now, Judas Priest
It really depends on your singing style. I come from an opera background but I sing in a traditional style, which has a lot of power and a little bit of grit. It is challenging, yes, so I have a whole preparation I have to do before and after shows that involves tea.. water (room temperature), and not talking all day.
Not at all. My parents are working immigrants. However, my grandmother (from El Salvador) was a musician. She played guitar and sang. She died before I ever knew her, but my dad told me that growing up, she was tormented for being a woman and a musician. Over there, it just wasn't done. I take that to heart as a woman…
I don't think they do. I think that men are exposed to metal more than women (from friends and community) and they pick it up. Had I been exposed to metal earlier, I know I would have loved it! But metal has a certain amount of aggression that people pick up on, and I think dudes run with it to their dude friends and…
Thanks! My inspirations vocally are Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, Accept and Black Sabbath.
To be perfectly honest, I wasn't influenced by any of the ladies you mentioned. My influences came from guys like Dio, Dickinson and Halford. I totally respect my fellow ladies of metal, but I sing in a traditional (AKA old) metal style.
I think that from my perspective, heavy metal is all-inclusive. However, for people who aren't into heavy metal, most of the time they don't see that. "Normal" people see heavy metal as this heavily male genre of growling and screaming, so it's part of my responsibility as a metal musician to show them that this is…
I remember the term "bi now, gay later". I don't agree with that assumption. I've always considered myself a bisexual who just happened to fall in love with a man. I never considered that I couldn't fall in love with a woman, just that I never met the right one. There's plenty of men that I meet whom I've never fallen…
Non dairy creamers are THE DEVIL.
Can she repent for sounding tone deaf when she sings live? I don't understand the appeal of this girl. I get that she's pretty, but what else is there? Why would you buy an album of someone mumbling their way through notes?
A-MEN. I say the same thing about soda. Soda is not a food.
Oooo.. how about just baking chips?? I don't know anything about this, I don't eat potatoes.. lol
HOLY SHIT!
How weird. I assume it's an additive, a fat? How do you even add that to hot chocolate?? I thought hot chocolate was just cocoa powder and sugar?
