Ditto. I am not spending thousands of dollars to go to Europe and NOT take pictures of the tasty, gorgeous, well-plated (and sometimes strange) food items that I consume. My best memories are of awe-inspiring croque monsieurs, bufala appetizers, and downright beautiful cicchetti.
Exactly. Who the hell keeps compromising photos on their phone? Who then hands that phone to people that they wouldn’t want to see those photos? In short, why are people idiots?

Not watching Season 2 of the Wire is awful advice. Season 2 shows how WHITE people bring the drugs to this country yet the public blames urban black people for the drug epidemic. It is the most nuanced season of the series.
The only way it might impact gay rights in the Mainland is that gay rights activists may agitate a little. But the Party will crack down on that tout de suite, so...not really.
As an American whose family is from Taiwan: I’m thankful that same-sex marriage is, as of now, likely to be legal in Taiwan. I’m proud of those in Taiwan who’ve fought for this.
“Relatively” being the operative word.
This will not affect the mainland. They won’t even recognize that Taiwan’s an independent country, let alone start adopting laws.
