I wish I were that clever.

“Namio Harukawa”

The real question is why are we still here, and why are we posting?

I’m not sure why Erik is still here, and why no one checks his work.

I’m not really sure I’d consider that “massive”, by any means.

How else would you tell the turbocharged Turbo 911s from the non-Turbo turbocharged 911s, and from the non-turbocharged Turbo Taycans?

bro wtf did you just do to my search history

You really should warn a guy. And here I thought he might be the guy who likes to slap massive fender flares and wings to 911's. Imagine my surprise.

I just want to imagine the designers at Porsche tasked with designing the next 911 Turbo looking at Namio Harukawa illustrations and thinking “YES. More of that”

Hey knock it off. All of us who bought 996 turbos because they have runny eggs and ims issues are busy filling the forums with hate for these and grinning inside from ear to ear so KNOCK IT OFF.

“One of” implies that there is room for both, as both are fantastic cars in my experience.

It’ll certainly add a layer of complexity to the driving, but it looks like the movement of the steering wheel correlates to the forces from either braking or accelerating, so maybe not that much more difficult for the driver?

I’m more curious about how easy it is to accidentally activate, or whether it will be activated at the wrong time by mistake. Those drivers already have a boatload of things to process, so I wonder if that incremental little bit of mental energy is really worth the benefit when they’re trying to time their braking and

Don’t do this.

You mean waiting for months for spare parts? At least in Norway the service is a mess.

I have a strong feeling Tesla went with the cylindrical approach primarily due to cost. From a technical standpoint, there isn’t much of a reason to go with them; the only benefit I can see is the metal shell structure that inherently resists deforming/expanding as the electrolytic material degrades. But that alone

I’m not convinced you’re not just exchanging one service problem for another. Tesla service is definitely nothing special right now. Asking the same question gets a different answer from everyone you talk to. And good luck even getting a service appointment for problems with your brand new car that Tesla knew about

The first Electrify America station in Michigan is underway now. I am excited to use it! I am glad they future proofed these stations as 350kW capable. That is a crazy amount of power.
