Here’s one from the same spot in 2006. Local trying to take a picture. He lived but his camera didn’t. After this the authorities shut down fan access to this area but now it’s open again. It’s just outside Ensenada and easily accessible to a huge population. It’s called the Ojos Rollers.

I don’t think you have a firm grip on this race.  The Baja 1000 is the biggest,baddest, continuous point to point race in the world. Typically there are over 350 entrants from over 30 countries. It’s a really big deal for some people. Because you’re not up to speed on it doesn’t make it less of a big deal.

Oh goody, A bmw engine! Once a few of them blows at 80,000 miles they’ll depreciate like an 80’s GM product then I can scoop one up shove an LS in it and get nuts!
