See, what'd I tell ya, looks just like my 996 Turbo!

Excessive speed on entry coupled with attempting to early apex is a bad combo. I think these guys would do well to get some driving lessons on a course from a qualified instructor. Even if in a car at least they would learn something about proper lines.

The GT1 debuted in 1996 and the 996 debuted in 1999 I just figured that my 2002 turbo was a descendant of the earlier car????

I’m proud of my 996 Turbo since her engine and headlights came from the Carrera GT1

Yes, but this is where they found their headlights. I’m proud of my Turbos big brother the Carrera GT1.

You can afford to be a 911 guy, it’s called the 996 and it’s a butt load of performance and the IMS thing is now an easy fix.

Robby Gordon’s nascar team. Only reason to exist was to collect starting money. Total waste of racing effort.

Trigger nailed it. I’m 51 and DD a 2002 Tacoma with 201200 miles on it just so I can own my $40,000 2002 Turbo 911 and spend money on her. I’m having a midlife crisis???Meanwhile the guy next door just bought a $62,000 F-350. Shoot my first house cost 59K how is a truck worth 60 grand, and I'm a truck guy!

I can totally relate. You guys have no idea how scary it is driving a car that can only break the tires loose from a sharp turn or in the rain. 😝

This is a “normal” fix when racing or prerunning in Baja but we carry small portable welders that hook up to car batteries and weld the wrench on. When you’ve got a ford super duty chase truck with dual batteries it’s a simple matter to hook both batteries up in series and do some pretty serious wire melting. Carrying

How many Tesla’s to get a free Cayman GT4???

Plus maple syrup is vegan just like Andy so it’s a win/win for everyone!

You’re missing the point, some people daily drive Cayenne’s because they love the brand and their GT3 is not anywhere near as comfortable as a daily driver as well as because the Cayenne can tow their Spec Boxster to the track. Some guys wife might drive a Cayenne because her husband loves cars, especially sporty cars

I’m pretty sure this is the same team that spun on the warmup lap at Watkins Glen then spun about 6 more times during that race.

Go buy a 996 Turbo NOW! Same headlights and engine as the GT1 Carrera. All that baby did was win Le Mans, Brands Hatch, Spa,and Zhuhai. The same twin turbo motor in a traditional 911 won the Daytona 24. 40k ain’t cheap but it is 100k off the original msrp and less than a new Mustang GT which in 5 years will be a

You’re absolutely right. Ford mpg stinks all the way across their truck/suv lineup. Their diesels average about 11.4. The thing is that Ford is making the Raptor not Chevy thus I’m stuck with the Eco-Boost which most people who use their truck in the desert think is a better choice than the 6.2. :-))

When you chase the Baja 1000 to La Paz and your looking at a 1200 mile drive home every little bit helps.

I had 2012 Raptor and the torque was way up high, I had to be on the pipe to get her to move. I don’t know anyone who used their truck in Baja that isn’t incredibly stoked on the new engine choice and the flat torque curve. Guys were actually having off-road fab shops pull the 6.2 out and install the EcoBoost. I never

A real race is long enough to require fuel thus a real pit stop requires refueling. F1 is just k1 with bigger cars.

Well, according to the Mazda engineers that developed the new Miata fun means everything and lap times count for nothing. I’m pretty disappointed to see them abandoning this in their race cars. I’m stoked to see them having so much fun on track regardless of who or what laps them, it gives me great hope every time I
