From all the reviews I've read the Macan seems to truly have Porsche in its blood. Reviewers are saying that it's as much fun as a boxster on a track. Crazy.

To me there is a difference between the Sport utilities and the sports cars. The SUV's and their sales make VW happy while the sports cars make Porsche happy. I for one absolutely love my entry level Porsche: 2002 996 Turbo with X50 option and 37,000 miles. I paid $40,500 for it and it will eat a 997 GT3 for lunch.

You know 996 Turbos are trading in the 38-$52,000 range. That pretty much trumps both of these. Find a low mileage X50 optioned one, throw a mild tune on it and have a 520 hp all wheel drive rocket ship for 48 large all in and you can hangtough with every 911 turbo out there including the 991.

It's awesome and I love it! She uses about a quart of oil in between services but no drips or leaks and still running like a champ! The interior has held up awesome too.
