@yossarian: all theories, none definitive. often times explaining a phenomenon as "a combination of many factors" is a lazy man's way out of not being able to explain it at all

@jinchoung: The genetic code argument by Kurzweil is indeed ridiculous, the epigenetics that come into play are huge when you consider the magnitude of interaction. Myers is absolutely right. But this doesn't mean we can't simulate every single synaptic connection.
