Those were both voice roles - Julia was on set, in that red leather costume, giving it all he had left in him because damnit his kids were going to enjoy his last role. And he absolutely sold the premise that he, Raul Julia, was a formidable opponent against Jean Claude van Damme.

Honestly, that is exactly what I’m looking for. Start out early, spend the whole day playing. I recently moved, so I lost my game group.

I totally agree with everything you said, but just a small correction, MoO came out in ‘93 and the first edition of Twilight Imperium was ‘97. Pretty sure that the designer, Christian Petersen, has cited MoO as an influence.

“If there’s a steady paycheck in it for me, I’ll shove as many baggies of . . . ‘talcum powder’ up my bottom as you want!”

People who think “Woke” is an insult must really like being asleep.

Yeah, exactly the same with me.

You shouldn’t think of gay people as “woke stuff”. You should think of gay people as people. I don’t go complaining about all the hetero-ass kissing I see when “the guy gets the girl” at the end. Go fuck yourself.

Yes, like you, I was confused and enraged at the idea of two secondary characters briefly sharing a kiss in a children’s animated movie. I was so upset when I saw it in the theater that I immediately began pissing all over myself. Just non-stop piss. Gallons of the stuff. And then when the person next to me had the

You know what you’re saying. We know what you’re saying. Are you just  physically unable to speak in anything but dog-whistles?

He’s old enough that it’s difficult to believe he didn’t know what it meant, regardless of the word, but people do use words as slurs even when they don’t know what they are all the time. I was using the word ‘fag’ as an insult well before I even knew what one was, just because of adults in my life doing so. Fortunatel

I agree. Instead of cribbing from the Ubisoft open-world playbook, what they should have done is cribbed from Persona and weld a school social-sim onto a dungeon crawler.

Yep. They claim if you play the game at all you're helping the popularity of Harry Potter persist and therefore helping JK Rowling. It's absolutely f****** ridiculous.

I’m not a hardcore board game player but I’ve played my share. I’m finding that all the games I play go well over the benchmark number of hours shown on the box. Terraforming Mars is ALWAYS a three hour game for example.

Master of Orion predates TI by four years (93 vs 97). Which leads to the other question: was TI inspired by MoO?

I’m just wondering why he chose to say it without having an idea what it meant though. Rarely are “gamer” insults just made up words with no meaning.

You have not experienced Shakespeare until you have read him in the original Klingon.

Similar thing with art...though thankfully the game/movie industries move slower and for all their ability, AI art generation still has lots of problems. But it is only a matter of time before studios start consolidating their 2D artist positions because they simply won’t need as many artists as before.

“Gotta make the donuts.”

*Fandom rejoices*

That would actually make AI-generated content interesting, and the fact that it’s NOT what we get is the single biggest demonstrator of the fact that no AI is actually aware or creative. They’re never describing their own experiences, because they have none. They're just algorithms that puke human words back at us in
