I’m now immensely disappointed this wasn’t about falling blocks threatening civilization as we know it, and the one man crazy enough to stack us out of it. 

He did the same with Dark Tower, but did it by shoving elements from SEVEN books into one action flick. He used a few characters names and some settings and then completely ignored the entire point of the series altogether.

To be fair, after a period of oversaturation, mecha shows have not been incredibly popular in the last several years.

And not even a good generic zombie movie. I saw it when it opened and several of the vampire scenes provoked (unintended) laughter from the crowd.

I can understand leaving Witch from Mercury off as it's only half done. As good as the first half was they can still mess it up. But Iron Blooded Orphans is a bit of a criminal omission.
