I am sure I am going to get attacked by the Swifties around here but a lot of her popular music and persona is about how she is the “wronged woman” in many relationships.    So her fanbase takes the lead from that and defends her like they are pit bulls.  

Up to and including the big ones. Winning an Oscar is as much about who you know and how much you spent to get your movie shown to the right people as it is about how good your work is.

Yeah.  It’s also this weird thought process that basically says “Of course I can’t hurt a woman, I have a daughter”.  Like people who abuse their wives and girlfriends don’t also abuse their children.

I can’t speak for the studio being bought from under Vinton but it turned his aimless son into an accomplished animation director. And it’s helping to keep a dying form of  animation alive and innovating.  

I mean we can sit here and yell and scream about the advantages the ultra rich get but in the end Travis Knight has turned out to be a very talented animation director and Laika has made some truly great movies.  Kubo and the Two Strings is a masterpiece.
