Totally agree about the need for a proper play space. This will be a non negotiable requirement for my next home.

Thx I’ve been looking for a reason to revisit GTA V and this fits the bill.
Considering that the gist of the article is about capturing PC specifically and not just capturing game footage in general...fair enough regarding your comment about modern day graphics cards.
You and I must have different ideas as to the definition of obscene. 1080p/60 recording can be obtained for $150 or less for a card from a big name player like Elgato or Avermedia. 4K/60 you’d be looking at around $250.
lol if pressed on this I would have used a car analogy very similar to yours to illustrate my point. Just because they both have wheels and get you from point A to point B does not make them comparable products.
I really wish Gizmodo (and frankly just about every other gadget publication) would stop comparing everything and anything to Sonos. It’s lazy writing at best.
It’s mostly an issue with emissive displays, meaning CRT, OLED, plasma, and probably microLED (with caveats) when it goes mainstream. Basically anything where the pixels produce their own light.
lol I think we’re all going to be waiting for a long time.
“w/o any worrying”? None of them. Not a single one.
Their speakers themselves are mostly average...not great, but not the worst I have ever heard. Sonos isn’t just speakers though....their software ecosystem is top notch. They make devices that let you utilize their system with your existing audio components. It’s the best of both worlds.
There’s no reason to laugh at Sonos, it’s an awesome system. Having said that you don’t have to give up having a sophisticated surround sound system in order to have Sonos. You can have both, and many people do.
Best Buy already does this with their shelf labels.
Yes. Google xbox game sharing. It’s kind of convoluted but it works.
Counterpoint: Yes because the new consoles are still a year away.
I bough the original Elite controller on launch day because they advertised it as being completely customizable. Turns out that wasn’t exactly true. You couldn’t remap the thumbsticks so that you could swap them on a per axis basis, i.e. swap just the x or y axis on the the thumbsticks....which was the one thing I…
I can get behind the science of a genuine bias light behind the TV. I can even sorta understand (not agree with, but understand) the desire to have color changing lights behind the TV, but having lights throughout the room change colors in sync with the TV is just distracting and tacky AF. If I walked into a home and…
+1. The Elite controller is the best gaming accessory I’ve ever bought, but the Brook adapter is the best accessory for an accessory I’ve ever bought.
If it’s better than my current Elite’s I will buy them and price be damned. If not, I won’t. Simple as that.
It is overly complicated, but as far as I’m concerned this is the one device that I want to be not easy to use.
Two things come to mind: Skyrim and the Souls games. I think I’ve bought just about every version of these games on pretty much every platform.
