I’ve been looking forward to upgrading my capture card for the better part of a year now, but I think I’ll pass. I could deal with the steep price tag, but the lack of HDR passthrough is a killer that I simply can’t overlook.

First I would like to point out that I agree with you. I don’t think the sound is anything to write home about, and I am the first to admit that I am terrible at pinpointing locations from the games sound cues. I am still struggling with the learning curve of it all. I especially have issues with determining the

He has a point. You don’t need to just hear sounds, you need to understand the timing of the different sounds and how that correlates with the location of the shooter.

The first game that I remember purchasing for myself was the original Zelda. If there was something before that I can’t recall what it was.

I have several 4K tv’s at this point. In anticipation of the new Xbox I just had the latest one delivered last week. The current total is 3...2 Samsungs and an LG OLED. They are all spectacular, albeit for different reasons.

Convenience. There is something to be said for the experience that comes with a console in the living room. PC gaming is great and the benefits are legion, but being plug and play is not really one of them.

The wording has changed because whatever you were looking at is part of the Xbox Live Game Pass program. You can play it for free as part of a Game Pass subscription, or you can buy the game outright the same as you have always been able to do.

It’s such a clunky experience that you couldn’t pay me enough to use a console web browser. When I bought new theater seats a couple months ago I bought ones with tablet attachments specifically so I could avoid such annoyances.

I agree that the best chair is the one that is comfortable for you, but the idea that “a chair is a chair” is complete horseshit.

I rather like it actually. It would certainly look more at home in my equipment rack than what we have now. The whole parallelepiped design just makes everything more complicated for me.

There’s at least 20 licensed songs in Bioshock.

Though I played through Bioshock years ago I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the remaster. The game has held up well and the updated graphics are wonderful.

I just can’t see Dune ever translating well to either television or the big screen. Dune is heavily introspective and has a lot of abstract concepts that don’t typically come through well using a visual medium.

I get it that this is supposed to be kind of tongue in cheek, but I feel sorry for anyone who has to get permission to play video games at any time.

Gotta second this. The current Elite looks and feels like a serious piece of kit. It’s a controller that’s all business. I could somewhat understand a Gears color scheme for those not into the black/silver aesthetic, but those blood spatters and whatnot look tacky as hell to me.

I was hoping this would be the case with the release of DS3 as it gets me one step closer to being able to retire my 360 for good. Praise the sun!

Assuming that the owner isn’t a complete moron...short of doing a factory reset you need the routers password in order to access/make changes to the router.

I was mildly interested in this for about 2 seconds...and then I saw it’s not ambidextrous. Guess I’ll be sticking with my Sensei Pro.

Different strokes for different folks. I consider it a bargain even at regular price.

Interesting, but no thanks. This thing isn’t going to be replacing my Harmony remotes anytime soon.
