My primary problem isn’t the cost, it’s the fact that it only produces 8 ounces of soda. There’s simply no way I’m going to futz around with this thing for 8 ounces of Coca Cola.

Why the sarcasm?

This was my first thought when reading the article. From a technical perspective I suppose you could learn the basic mechanics of driving stick by simulating it with a racing wheel, but I can’t imagine that you could ever pick up any of the finesse required to do it well.

Who cares?

“Under any normal usage scenario this should not be a great concern.”

There are currently no OLED PC monitors that are meant for consumers/end users. Sony produces Trimaster OLED displays that are designed for use in a video production environment. They cost multiple thousands of dollars.

Good to know. Hopefully that bodes well for the display lag numbers on the new 9500. Thanks for the update!

Your welcome. I’m glad I could bring some useful info to the discussion!

Unfortunately that’s not how it works. Pixel response is not indicative of how quickly the internal circuitry can present a frame to the display. By and large it’s not constrained by technology type, and can vary greatly from model to model even within a specific technology group.

1. I don’t see an obvious benefit to this over a portable hotspot. On the contrary, it seems to me like you lose the flexibility of taking your hotspot with you.

Same here. Firefox for day to day usage, Chrome for the oddball page that for one reason or another Firefox just doesn’t like.

I suppose it’s nice that they’re putting some effort into ease of use, but I firmly believe that no one should be allowed to own ANY router without taking the time to learn how it actually works, regardless of difficulty level.

You think that looks like those keys have a decent amount of travel? I’ll reserve final judgement until I can actually try one out, but I have a distinct feeling that using that thing will be horrendous.

You’re probably right, but I’m voting for him anyway. If by some miracle he ends up in the general and loses so be it. I have reached the point where I would rather watch the world burn under the GOP than vote to maintain the status quo.

Agreed. It took me quite a bit of effort to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the book for what it is.

Same here. Can’t wait!

That’s pretty nice. If they release a matrixed version of it I’m sold.

Why the unnecessary snark? I didn’t say the man was second coming of Christ. I said that the features the OP asked for were already in the works and that the guy in charge isn’t in the habit of overpromising and underdelivering. If you believe otherwise state your case. I’m listening.

My wife also wakes up to the click of her alarm clock. I’d be hard pressed to wake up if the bed was on fire.

I have never heard of this. Source please?
