That's just to get your rig up and running at a barebones level. It's a little more involved than that to install and configure a homegrown machine that utilizes the capabilities that most of these NAS boxes have built-in, and even then you still don't necessarily get the interface, level of polish, or the seamless

I'm apparently not the market for this either. I wouldn't be caught dead with such a gimmicky case...I guess I'm just too old for this to have any appeal for me whatsoever.

OK let's see.....

I enjoy both the original and APC's version of this song immensely. I've got to hand it to Maynard Keenan...there are few people who could take such a beautiful song and completely turn it on it's ear like this.

Didn't realize that this was such a high demand product or that there were so many applications dedicated to it. I've been using Xtralogic's Remote Desktop Client for around 2 years and have never had a complaint.

There isn't a chance in hell that any of the console manufacturers will allow an AO rated title on their systems. They have all said this repeatedly for many years, and won't simply 'get over it'. They have all invested themselves far too heavily in painting themselves as 'family friendly' to ever take a chance like

There's nothing sad about having large capacity physical media for backup purposes. Relying on only your hard drive or the cloud to protect your data is foolish.

For the lack of headaches alone it has been worth every penny. Granted, there are a few things I'm not a huge fan of (ie dashboard ads even for paid members) but if I had to pay it all over again I would do so gladly.

The AverHD appears to have some advantages, namely the ability to accept 1080p and record in h.264 (the BMIP has no onboard encoder and uses mjpeg for compression).

I've been seeing this card for awhile...if it'll let me record 1080p/30 while still inputting 1080p/60 I might consider swapping my BlackMagic Design card for this one. I have no incentive otherwise.

The theory is that people spend way more time downloading than uploading so the ISP's allocate more bandwidth to compensate for this.

He's on the Drexel University backbone. I'm assuming he's a student, and hence the $34,000 per year.

Wow a Breitling is a hell of a gift to receive!

I've got a lot of gadgets around here, but I've probably put more money into my Sonos network than anything else. It's also arguably the most satisfying one to use.

I can't wrap my head around this either. There is absolutely no circumstances I can conceive of where I would leave my pets behind to face potential death or injury while I fled to safety.

Good God, how about "Thou shalt give the option for players to fully remap all controls to their preferences?"

Was this skit ever in one of the C&C movies? It's funny as hell, but I only remember it being on vinyl.

I think you understood my intent, but since you would prefer to nitpick my wording rather than address my point there is nothing more to talk about here so I'll be moving on. Have a great day!

I believe your math is off. Check it again. For example:

To each their own. Personally, I think the pursuit of perfection is in and of itself an artform.
