don’t be an asshole
Looks like they’ve since taken it out of the Kotaku recent news feed at least.
It probably doesn’t amount to much, but as a white, cishet dude I’m sorry that the rest of my ilk are massive cockwaffles.
I mean, it’s a Lifehacker post, not a Kotaku post. I dunno where the decision comes from to cross-post between the sites, but I’m sure it wasn’t Renata that made the call.
These sites aren’t a hive mind.
As a trans woman who’s been put in the hospital and harassed incessantly by people who feel emboldened by exactly the sort of rhetoric Chapelle and Rowling spew (and that’s just this year, and in California of all places), I’m sure the comments on this post are going to just be lovely. I can’t wait to have some white,…
Sometimes, I want the gritty fantasy storytelling of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt without dealing with hundreds of hours of content or an open world map.
All of that only to slip in at the end that Disco Elysium did double the amount of dialogue and it took less than a year. Starfield is going to have been in development for absolute yonks by the time it comes out, what’s the concern?
Breaking news: Larger scope of project means it is harder to complete!
I got the controversy around Scorsese’s comment in a “how do we define ‘art’ and ‘cinema’ anyway” sort of way, along with the general gatekeeper-y tone some people saw in it. But “the MCU is formulaic” is just about the most milquetoast criticism someone could possibly levy against it.
Picked up this game on a whim last week and am utterly addicted. I’m a middle-aged guy who started playing D&D as a kid in the 80's and this is the first video-game I’ve ever played that has so completely captured that sense of story, exploration, and wonder that those early table-top games created. For those in the…

I want to hate you for hating an art style. But then I did an introspection, and find myself totally not able to play Psychonauts because the designs really irk me. So I understand your feelings.
They’re probably thinking something like “great, additional talented hands so maybe I won’t have to work 60-80 hour weeks on our next project.”
Your first take was a bold, kindergarten level swipe at video game design that showed your whole buttocks to the world.
Add a way to flag the game completion achievement for this purpose.
Or just allow a game to be not refundable if it is less than $10.
This is super shitty, especially since the game is 9 goddamned dollars in the US.
means that users can buy a good short game, enjoy it then still get a refund and nobody asks any questions, leaving the creators empty-handed
I hate this stuff. Don’t refund games you’ve enjoyed, even if you finish them and they’re short. Hell, I have MAYBE an hour into Proteus but like...I’m never refunding that game. I loved that hour and got everything I wanted out of the game at the time, it was a delight. I may never play it again, but like hell would…
