That’s why as a prepper, I stockpile ROUNDUP

Good for him! My other Grandfather had some crazy experiences in the Army too, but adjusted to ‘home’ quite well with some funny stories of North Africa and China/Burma...the psychotically sadistic sergeant who everyone hated that got on the transport ship at the docks and somehow was never seen to get off the ship...

One of my Grandfathers was at Peleliu I think in the 7th. He absolutely had nothing to say ever about being there. Grandma tells about his nightmares/sleeping with a pistol under the pillow, sweats etc. All I’ve read is that it was the worst of his experiences.

I read this a few years ago. Depressing. Then I read BLOODLANDS and realized being a farmer in west Texas was much better than being a farmer in the Ukraine at the same time. But both options suck. As a farmer now, I think we as a profession have learned to mitigate this but it’s hard to make the decisions for

I was planning on writing just what you did, but thought “no one will know what I’m talking about.” so I settle for spell check screwing up Shaftoes’ name.

YES! so funny.

I love it when I’m unintentionally clever.

Also the New Order/Empire insignia is not imaginably possibly a phallic shape, so, ya know...that helps.

unfortunate placement of Rebellion (or Resistance...) insignia.

I enjoyed the moments of Flagg, his doubts when his certainty is shaken by things NOT going his way every time.

I too loved ROM. Hybrid was scary as hell as an enemy, the King Arthur/Knights of the Round Table ghost was great. then... the lame self-pity whiny-ass androgynous ROM showed up and left what had been a strong stoic ROM looking like a used condom in the gravel. ROM and Acroyear were in the 80’s.

Yep. I have enough elk pictures to make you dislike them. It was a nice morning walk and they were polite enough to pose a moment before heading to the trees.

I manage a grass seed, grain, specialty crop and legume farm of 3,400+ acres. It does not much resemble what I’ve seen in MODERN FARMER magazine. Finance & cash flow management, inventory control, fuels’ tax reports, HR... the drudgery of all other work. Lots of office time.

Monkeys’ Paw.

“If they see humans as a predatory species....”

please.

Just me or is there an image of a flaming agony-filled skull on the match head? Ok, just me then.

Please.
