100% agree. It definitely felt like sloppy storytelling. And the story was basically the only reason to play this game. Everything else was broken, including the vaunted interrogation system. I loved the setting though.

EA did the same thing with the Wii versions of their sports games. It was because the Wii was simply less powerful and couldn’t run the full versions of the games. Same reason here I’m afraid.
