Here unless you buy a special policy, the insurance company can and will fix your car up to 100% of the car’s value. Usually the threshold is 70% however so this would have been a fix under insurance. Ummm no. I work in a body shop in BC. Frames are straightened as long as it’s within reason. Too much damage would mean it doesn’t get fixed. That’s mostly an economic determination though, not the ability to fix the frame. If it’s not a fix, then it gets sent to salvage so we can recycle any good parts, and only then
