Somehow they took what’s normally a great sounding engine and made it horrible. The E60 M5 and Lexus LFA sound fantastic so it’s not the configuration itself, likely the exhaust system and/or different firing order.

It’s really a shame they used so many plastic parts on those V6 engines. If all the bits connected to it were higher quality, engines like the 3800 could basically last forever if you did your oil changes.

This is largely true, modern cars have so much sound insulation that unless you’re revving the crap out of it, you may actually have a hard time hearing the engine at all. My car has the VW EA888 and below 2.5K rpm you can’t even tell that the engine is on at all.

The average consumer may not know the history and the purpose behind the Wrangler and will assume it’ll drive exactly the same as a Camry. In their effort to be as unbiased as possible, Consumer Reports will always uhh, report on tradeoffs like the excessive wind noise.

Sort of calls into question the whole “this is faster than an M3 around a track” thing. Even if it were [which it isn’t], it sounds like you’d almost certainly have a horrifying accident after that one lap.

This is the kind of review you’d expect to read about a Korean car from ~8 years ago. If the Model 3 was sub-$20K I think a lot of this would be forgivable, but it’s absolutely inexcusable in a car that costs upwards of $50K after you add the options that you know you’re going to add anyway.

In fairness he actually is an engineer, but I can’t vouch for the accuracy of what he explains.

They only ask that you keep it stowed under the seat for takeoff/landing, outside of that it doesn’t really matter. I often keep it under my knees for easy access.

I think this is a good move. IMO Conan is the funniest of the late-night hosts; if this means more of him and less of celebrity interviews and other bits that aren’t Conan being Conan, I think we all win.

If anyone’s confused by the no milk in your coffee after noon thing, it’s because that (including the cappuccino itself) is considered a breakfast item and will not be served after ~11am. It’s really not that different from how many fast food joints also shut down their breakfast menu around the same time.
