I don't see this being a safety hazard though.

Just the other week I saw some genius in a late 80s Jetta who had it lowered so much that he had to stop just shy of a speedbump and get out to direct traffic around his car. There's no way this car would have passed an inspection had it needed to; since it can't handle something as basic as a regulation speed bump.

These cars had to pass government inspections in order to be deemed road legal before they're sold. This is different from some people who modify their own cars beyond the manufacturer's specifications; and may not have even done so in a proper/safe fashion.

When you push something so far out of its intended use specifications, there is a serious risk of something going wrong. That's the case here.

Since we're talking about Quebec here, hitting a pothole and having a blowout is practically a foregone conclusion.

Normally I follow the "don't feed the trolls" logic, but when someone is being this ridiculous I just have to chime in.

Hyperbole? Yes Quebec has long winters, but no, Quebec is not analogous with "North Pole". Montreal generally has the same spring/summer temperatures as New York.

Typical rudimentary research done by someone who's clearly never been outside of the US. Really, he chose laval as his "big government" city? He also doesn't seem to realize that Minnesota is both colder and gets more snow during the winter.

We also threw out that pathetic excuse of a government and their xenophobic leader. Also, that's not a saying. That's just typical Ontario assholery.

Plan ahead before going to grad school. If you don't have a job waiting for you when you're finished; you're in for a tough job search. You end up in this weird limbo where you're too qualified to do minimum wage or entry-level jobs, but you don't have the experience to get a job suited to your education level.

I think an aircraft carrier is a conspicuous absence from this list. Nuclear powered and enough capacity to store enough food to last years at a time. It doesn't get much better than that.

As indescribably amazing as it would be to live on the ISS, does something that's effectively floating around in low earth orbit with no controls whatsoever really count as a vehicle?

Unless you're still running a core 2 duo and 1GB ram, this problem effectively doesn't exist anymore.

If your anti-virus is slowing down your games enough to become an issue; there are far more serious underlying issues. I've never gone all-out on a gaming rig and yet I've never seen a performance problem; and I have Kaspersky installed right now.

Unless you spend a lot of time on the scary parts of the internet, I doubt that Windows Defender won't effectively protect you.

Netflix is actually not too bad for Top Gear UK, they have seasons 15-19, which are more recent than the edited down versions that show up on BBC Canada. I'm not sure about the music being taken out, but since all the episodes are 61-62 minutes in length, they're at least not removing an segments.

I see your point, but it's nice-to- have in the same way that a ratchet set is nice-to-have. If you're at all serious about being a DIYer, the $20 code reader is entirely worth it.

People really should care more about tire pressures; unless they like replacing their tires far earlier than they should need to be; or drive on extremely/unevenly worn rubber.

As long as the Ecoboost doesn't sound atrocious, I think they're gonna sell a lot of them.
