I'm going to be in the market for my first new car between now and the end of the year, and at this price the V6 Mustang is mighty tempting. A V8 is completely out of my price range, and honestly I don't see why the V6 has such a bad rap. Which other car has 300hp stock for under $25K?

The key difference here is that TVs do not require regular maintenance and repair. If your TV breaks, you buy a new one; but not so with a car; which need oil changes and other regular work. Something that wasn't designed to be a sealed unit that never needs to be opened shouldn't be this difficult to work on.

I once tried to change the spark plugs on my series 2 3800. I gave up out of fear of damaging the fuel lines that run directly on top of the rear bank's plug wires.

Europe is full of good diesel-powered cars. All the carmakers have to do to remove the bad taste in peoples' mouths from the awful Olds diesels of the 80s is to start selling more cars with the impressive diesel engines that are already elsewhere around the world. Once there's a quality product, marketing it won't be

I actually saw one of these, the first such happening in many, many years. This sort of made sense as a concept car, but not so much as a production model. And yet, dozens of people bought them.

I see quite a lot of these driven by old people during the summer months. I always figured it was a 300+ hp kind of car, and I'm shocked to now learn that it didn't even break the 200hp barrier. That's just sad beyond belief...

I suggest you watch some review videos of the Dell 4K monitor. People have described the 30Hz as being even worse than it sounds, coupled with significant input lag. That combined with the fact that the Samsung is 60Hz and overall a better monitor means that the Dell is a bad deal.

Well obviously advertising works on some people; I'm not trying to refute that. But especially given how governments and other organizations have vilified the cigarette makers, I would seriously doubt that letting them advertise again on race cars will result in a sudden spike in young smokers. Smoking is no longer

There is, and it's mighty tempting. At the time I wrote this however, the only reasonably affordable model was the Dell; the Samsung hadn't been announced yet.

I've been watching F1 with my dad from age 3 onward, and other than learning all the big tobacco brands, I've never felt the need to smoke as a result.

I think this is a sign of the times more than anything else. GM got exposed over the ignition switch problem, making it harder for them to cover up these things; like Toyota's floor mats jamming under pedals. Gone are the days when Ford could openly discuss a fatal flaw with the Pinto's gas tank, yet not have to

I think there's an argument to be made that all of them are awful, except for the original. It really wasn't the kind of show that could be turned into a franchise, since the broad appeal is almost entirely because of the hosts and their interactions rather than the format of the show. As good as the challenges on the

As a rule of thumb, if there's some sort of power brick, all you need is the adapter since the brick was designed to work anywhere in the world. But even other things like electric shavers and hair dryers can also work with just a plug adapter. But of course your mileage may vary; always read the power input on the

Some of these tips may scare off the casual user; and that's fine, because the 3 main points outlined are probably the most effective. There's nothing less secure than the "linksys" network with "admin" as the password (swap out those two for the default credentials from any brand). With such non-existent security,

Am I the only one around here whose family doesn't believe in buying gifts for artificial holidays? Spending the day with the whole family is really all we've ever done for mother's and father's days.

It hasnt' been a serious competitor for even longer than that. What they said this week is basically just a retroactive explanation for what they've been doing with the brand; they haven't put out anything remotely resembling a luxury car in decades.

Let's be honest here; I don't think anyone looks at a 300 and thinks it's anything BUT pretentious, with that ridiculous grille on the front.

I don't think this discussion is limited to American luxury cars. I think this is an industry-wide trend; even the German brands don't build the land barges they used to pump out. Short of Rolls Royce, I think the luxury segment as we knew it is gone.

You can tell from how Jay talks about his cars that he genuinely cares about them. This sorry excuse for a human being just has far too much money to know what do with, so he bought a shit ton* of cars.

Of all the bigoted, racist, and insensitive things he's said over the course of his career, it's amazing that THIS is the one that people are trying to take him down over. It makes no sense since we don't know for sure whether he actually said what people say he did.
