The annoying thing here is that Valve has built such functionality into Steam, yet so few developers can be bothered to use it.

This is exactly why I never volunteer to help people I'm not good friends with on anything tech-related. Plus it's often fun to watch someone volunteer as if they're an expert but then fail miserably at "fixing" the problem.
People really use this as an excuse to get out of something going wrong. My mom once got mad at me because her computer showed a "Windows has successfully installed updates" message, as if this were a bad thing. And then when something actually does go wrong, it's automatically my fault because I have to take care of…
Buying used is extremely cost-effective, and as an under-25, can also mean marginally cheaper insurance. Plus, a used car is likely to have a few scratches already; so the paranoia about finding the first scratch is already gone.
I'm praying this is a joke but sadly I don't think it is...
You'd be surprised how few young people actually know how to use Office in any meaningful way. I took a class in Office and the teacher told us on the first day that every year the class average went down, and students found more and more "creative" ways to lose marks on exams. After the exam on Word, he told the…

I think it is worth mentioning; provided you actually have some proficiency with the applications. Most people list Excel but have no idea how to use 99.999% of its features. Since I know more than .001% of Excel, I list it along with some less common ones I've learned in school; namely Visio and Project.
Yeah this kind of stuff is very subjective. After all, there are apparently people out there who genuinely like the sound of a fart can on a 25 year old Honda Civic...
The Chevrolet Citation?? That has to be one of the worst car names ever.
There are quite a few Inifinitis around my neighbourhood, and I have to say; they have some of the worst engine notes I've ever heard. They've managed to make V6s sound like Vespa 2-stroke engines. I really hope this car is the exception because it looks fantastic. I'd hate for it to be spoiled by shoddy acoustic…
I think it looks great. And whether or not you really like this design, you have to at least admit Cadillac is on the right track for the first time in decades.
I believe the reason why kids these days are constantly getting sick is because we're being cautious to the point of extreme paranoia about things being clean and/or disinfected. We are going way too far; homes don't need to be as sterile as an operating room. By not exposing ourselves to germs, we can't build up our…
I know I'm mispronouncing Porsche every time I say it, but saying Porsch-a just makes me sound pretentious if I'm talking to non-car enthusiasts.
The hard drive has badly lagged behind the progress made in other areas, so upgrading to a solid state drive is by far the most cost-effective upgrade you can make. My PC now goes from completely off to the desktop and ready to use in about 10 seconds. I no longer feel the need to use sleep mode because I can do a…
Why is the automatic transmission a bad thing? It's there to improve the performance, not take away from it. As much as we Jalops love the manual transmission, one day it will go the way of crank starter and the carburetor.
I wonder if they can attract any buyer under 30. As a millenial, this is a brand I wouldn't even consider; I get that they're safe cars and all that; but I don't look at a Volvo and think, "Yeah, I'd love to have one". There's something about this brand that doesn't do it for me. I like to compare them to Buick before…
My Buick seats six, yet only has two (yes, 2) cupholders. It's a '98, so I guess all this cupholder nonsense is a relatively recent thing.
Lincoln needs to scrap what they're doing right now because it's not working. That commercial where the old Continental morphs into the MKZ; I watch that and say to myself, I'd rather have the Continental...
