I haven't really no that's true. But I feel you can apply that logic to a lot of characters. Batmans first comics had him in a lighter camper tone but for the love of all that is great you would not want Batman to go light hearted now. I think Daredevil shines in that darker tone, that's where he is best.

I dont think they are in short supply, but when you take a character who suits that mould and put him into a cartoon joke world I think it destroys what makes it shine. It is literally beyond me how anyone could honestly be happy about this new costume and the way DD is. I love DD because he's Marvels gritty dark character and this camp fun loving run by Waid is doing me in. Bring on the hate, because I just don't get it.
