Yes, with more cowbell

Despite the glowing review from AVClub, she was pretty off the mark tonight. Her "orgasm" hysterics only had one good joke (the condom breaking) which made it seem like a whole lot of energy exerted for so little payoff. Was it supposed to be funny simply because she was loud and animated? It wasn't, and the audience

Please return to these PG threads after each episode! Your disarming of the misguided "sexist" charge has been fantastic. Very even-keeled nonhyperbolic argument that still devastated the allegation at hand. Very rare on the intertubes, we'll played.

Let me be the fifth to say I want to marry Brit Marling

Amazing!

Ha am I really the only one who caught Trevor butchering that word? Considering it was one of his few flubs in the premiere and that apparently no one noticed, I think he's going to work out just fine.

This article is a mass-generazhmthn of the mediocrity that was Noah's first at bat. Fortunately, the beats more-or-less seem they'll remain the same as in Stewart's Daily Show, so I see nowhere Trevor can go from here but up.

He's the mentor and EXECUTIVE PRODUCER on this entire project. He is God compared to her, and his entire purpose is to serve Jason and give him the tools to make the movie he was hand-picked to direct.

"Brilliant, brilliant, good joke" <—mine

I have a feeling one of our diverging opinions will be vindicated before the season is even over. And I don't like your odds.

If you have HBO do yourself a favor and watch seasons 1 and 2 of the show as well. I think they are still On Demand in their entirety. They are both fantastic, bingeable seasons in their trainwrecky depiction of how so many shit movies get made in Hollywood.

I'm partly watching for her as well, but in a completely different context: I love to hate her and her 17 movies no one has ever heard of! That strange combination of pompous insecurity is so hard to stomach. In what world does she think she outranks Peter Farrelly on this production? She is insane and will be lucky

He makes every movie he is in. The only role that disappoints was that Dark Knight Rises bullshit. What a waste of his talents that garbage script was.

"Why you making a gay drink? Are you gay? It's OK if you are, I just want you to talk to me."

It's not that she's tough, it's that she's so terribly puffed-up about her middling production accomplishments.

Maybe because Matt and Ben have now told him twice he could and should fight for film? If it were me, yeah, I'd be pulling that trump card every chance I got too, thinking that's got to carry more weight than Effie's say-so. I'd blame them sending him mixed messages rather than the kid himself.

Effie Brown was a producer on that Dear White People movie you have in your Netflix Queue but still haven't watched. And also 17 other 'features' you have NEVER heard of.

His character probably hasn't watched Treme, Frozen River, The Fighter, Prisoners, Red State, Oblivion, etc.

Did he write The Last Avatar?

It wasn't meant to be original nor an homage. It was a middle finger to Lost, a throwing down of the gauntlet by the showrunners, as if to say "You know the difference between you and me? I make twisty-turny, down-the-rabbit-hole mystery television look goood."
