I’ve handed in a lot of empty ballots in my life.
And people still doubt Bernie can make a difference.
If you have any experience with this phenomenon—if someone used OKCupid to persuade you to vote Trump, even—please let us know in the comments.
“Hey there sexy, I’d li-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA”
Speaking as an “Obama Boy,” this was absolutely a real thing. There was a ton of sexism aimed at Clinton during the 2008 election, and not all of it came from the right.
I honestly wonder if he was so used to being treated like that in general that the dogwhistle stuff coming from the Hillary campaign didn’t bother him much. I could be wrong of course, but I just had that thought and it made me sad.
I hear ya, I don’t think I can face the Internet before coffee!
“BURN IN HELL LADY!!”
Its kind of sad to see things get so ugly within the Democrat camp.
Desperation is a terrible thing. They see it all slipping away, again, especially after the polls this weekend, which show Bernie has erased her national lead. If she’s this weak in democratic primaries, she is going to be a disaster in the general election.
That wasn’t enough for Clinton, who demanded that Obama “denounce” Farrakhan, which he did.
Same thing with the “BernieBros” where 50% of the two sources provided as evidence traced directed to conservative trolls.
What people don’t realize is that a lot of this is actually being disseminated by the far-right conservatives in an effort to divide us. Several anti-Hillary twitter “movements” have been traced back to conservative camps. What they are trying to do is working. And it sucks.
I saw that yesterday. No, you were not taking crazy pills.
It makes me feel better to remember that, apparently, the best strategy Hillary has at the moment is to deflect progressive criticism about her corporate funders/hawkishness/history of center-right political alignment by insinuating that people who prefer Sanders must be sexist. I found this article cathartic: http://w…
It’s amazing. I was accused of being an MRA for simply stating that economic issues ARE womens issues and that white feminists are dismissive of the issues us non white women are facing daily.
So, Bill and Hillary supporters have never said anything sexist about women who’ve accused Bill of harassment? Or Monica Lewinsky?
Great. Now in addition to having my feminism questioned and being called a Bernie Bro, I am going to be lumped in with people who are fighting against Clinton for all the wrong reasons.
