That is alarmingly adorable.
That is alarmingly adorable.
I wish I could force-choke people with shocking regularity nowadays. To mix a couple references, the hate must flow.
Well, it’s all relative. I have fun down here in my voluntary poverty, but I wouldn’t wish it on most, and there are still women out there who would trade their left arm to be where I am.
The wealthy ones anyways.
Don’t listen to the haters, you’re doing God’s work here.
They seem to be better at matching cats than people.
....Better than I expected, actually.
I agree that the division is deeper this year, but I think it is a little unfair to cast it all in terms of the things said about Hillary. Her campaign also said some very nasty things about Obama that would completely ruin her today. Similarly offensive things have been coming out of her camp on racism and sexism…
...Except that that happens in every presidential primary. Look at 2008. Hillary was the prohibitive favorite in that race too. Do you blame Obama for splitting the party then?
I think the Bern is mostly the collective exhilaration of people who have felt voiceless and powerless all their lives suddenly realizing that there are millions of people like them out there, and that those people are finally willing to shout with them. Sanders is just the vehicle for the message.
If you’ve been…
Except that he consistently voted with Democrats on most issues, and Clinton is now trying to hit him over the fact that the DSCC partially funded one of his Senate campaigns.
He’s running as a Democrat because he doesn’t want to be a Nader splitting the vote in the general. He either gets the nomination squarely or…
Between your username/avatar and this comment, I now respect two out of two things I know about you. That is a 100 percent respect rate.
Intellectual masturbation at its worst? Seriously?
Listen, I know it sucks when your candidate has had a rough month and everyone starts coming out of the woodwork to knock her down. But intellectual masturbation at its worst is when you begin blindly dismissing people for having differing opinions than your own,…
I don’t think anyone is denying that Clinton has faced immense sexism ever since she entered the public sphere, particularly from the right. I do think that it’s stupid for the actual campaign to be complaining about it as loudly and aggressively as they have been, particularly when it’s clear that this is not just a…
Yeah, I don’t think Hillary supporters are all anti-semitic idiots. I just got a little lost in a train of thought on how it’s somehow Clinton that’s accusing Sanders of negativity. And the media just lets her spin, spin, spin without doing any homework of their own.
ETA: Actually, I replied to the wrong comment…
I didn’t remember that particular line of attack from 2008, but the vaguely racist dogwhistles are still fresh in my memory. Watching her cozy up to Obama and his legacy after what she pulled in the 2008 primary is pretty sickening. I sometimes wonder what he really thinks about it.
She is also reportedly push polling aggressively in the early primary states and sending out paid canvassers to leave negative articles about Bernie on doorsteps and push the “Bernie will scrap your healthcare” narrative.
It’s because Bernie doesn’t waste his time complaining loudly about people being rude on the Internet.
I still can’t believe that the Clintons think it’s a good idea to directly attack Democratic voters like this. They have literally called both male and female Sanders supporters sexist now.
My vote is not thrown away if I vote for, say, Jill Stein, who actually deserves it. I don’t even live in a battleground state. My vote is thrown away if I capitulate to a bunch of neoliberals who tell me I’m sexist and boy-crazy for not immediately backing their chosen candidate.
And there is a marked difference…
