That's the point though. Jo described her husband as somebody that everybody loved. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing, not a stereotypical thug. Morrison fits that description perfectly and can pull off domestic violence scenes as proven in Glees first season.

I like him in this role a more than I did on Glee though. Drama suits him.
