Everything I have read says the LA bid is predicated on using existing venues. In 1984, LA was the first venue to turn a profit for a summer Olympics since 1932.

Not sure about Paris, but LA might be one of the few cities that can do his without going bankrupt.
It’s worth noting that, IIRC, the last Olympic games to not end up in the red was the 1984 summer games in Los Angeles.
I hate the parents that take their kids to traditionally “adult” spaces and then yell at you for doing/saying something adult-ish in front of their kid.
The places the original guy was asking about don’t even serve food. They’re literally just breweries that only sell their own beer. You can’t even get wine or hard alcohol. They might sell chips or popcorn, and might have food trucks come.
People who take their kids to breweries and bars that also happen to serve some food are the worst of the worst. They are all, without reservation, 20 and 30-somethings who don’t want to give up their lifestyle of going out and getting tanked but are too cheap/stupid/whatever to get a babysitter. I don’t want to…
I feel like John’s question about children at breweries did not get proper consideration. Someplace like Gordon Biersch is indeed essentially a restaurant. But there are an increasing amount of smaller, less food-oriented, more tasting room-ish breweries now, and I’ll be damned if we didn’t hit one up a couple months…
Strong union.
What my intention is and your reception of what I write may often miss the mark. I’m not going to be angry with you if you don’t get what I write.
Well, he’ll always have the job at the gay bar to fall back on
The sheer randomness of their inception, though, means it would be totally fine if we one day decided to change them, too.
the upside to using a sword as a defensive weapon is that your attacker assumes you’re a bigger psycho than they are.
“I don’t want to ignore it.”
Keep Austin? Weird.
Celebrities, they’re just like us.
Is that you, Progressive Liberal?
A lack of jobs, drug addiction, poverty.
And to think there was a time when Brook Lopez and Dwight Howard getting traded in one day would’ve been relevant to the landscape of the NBA.
Remember when Dwight Howard was an MVP candidate? I hated those days.
