Sign up for a MS account or have a local PC account?

You are right. I do not like what Google is doing so I have stopped using their services. I don't make comments on Youtube so I'm fine there and my gmail address is up kept so I don't lose it, since it is tied to my name.

When you sign up for a Microsoft Account with an email address other a Microsoft related one you are not given an Outlook.com email address. No specific outlook.com account is created. What you are allowed to do is use the outlook.com email service as a front end to Gmail. What you send and receive will always be

(a) Thank you proving my point. I don't want my gmail email address related to anything Google Plus. (b) No it does not if you sign up with a different email such as a Gmail email.

Yes! I use feedly.com you can even set up to look very similar to Reader.

You are confusing two different things. I can go sign up for a Microsoft Account with a Gmail address now. That's how my mother did it and that is how she signs into her Windows 8.1 PC. What you are thinking of is the Microsoft Account sign in vs the local account sign in. You can still use a local account in Windows

I don't want sign up for it and I shouldn't be forced to. Google should not be holding certain service activities hostage because of it. Imagine having to sign up for an outlook.com account when you need a Microaoft acount.

The Google service I used was Reader. Google is not doing anything to make me want to actively participate in their services.

Really should have had the Nokia Lumia 1520 instead of the 1520 if we are going to compare to unreleased phones. Heck, even unannounced.

Was this the article from the leaked "Apple Keynote Handbook: Chapter 3 Presenting 'Evidence'""

This would be a perfect onenote companion.

You need Windows 7 Professional or Windows 8 Pro. You can not rdp into a home or starter version of Windows.

You should go get checked out. Might be serious.

No. It only syncs your files on one pc to another. There is no cloud version.

Good thing Skydrive allows you to purchase more space for $0.50/GB a year. Cheaper than Google Drive, Dropbox, and any other similar service.
