Good God this is so true.

The problem with having non-second screen showings as well is that you still have the normalization of the use of screens during movies going on here. I'm vehemently against the presence of mobile devices at concerts, movies, plays, etc., because it encourages people to become detached from shared social events.

What does the second screen app do? Is it just video games? Is there trivia? Because I would be into watching a movie that I've already seen a million times, like "The Little Mermaid" and then reading little bits of trivia pop-up video style on my phone that corresponds with that particular moment in the movie.
