I miss when our company had like 60 people. Now we have 2000+ and report to an even larger company. Just not the same. You never really grow close to the people like you do in the small teams.

You can’t have managers who stare you down and shame you if you leave before everyone else.

That is like Bethesda’s Redfall. Take a single-player dev and force them into making a live service game because it was the hot trend.

At first I thought this was definitely real-estate/city pressure to get workers back in the city. But it may simply be a way for Rockstar to lock everyone down to working long hours in the office during crunch. Something harder to do if everyone is working from home.

It is so fast it looks like the video is sped up. Crazy how fast they drive.

Not to mention that repeating sections over and over kind of ruins the immersion in a game. Horror games often have “insta-kill” sections. But inevitably if you die too much on these sections it no longer becomes scary, instead it simply becomes a menial coordination memorization task that you have to eventually

If a game isn’t hard, then how will gamers pad their ego and look down on others and gate keep their hobby? This is why Elden Ring and Dark Souls should never have easier or more accessible settings.

Next up Ubisoft will say Skull and Bones did not meet their expectations.

Yeah, if your play time is limited, a 100 hours game might not be the best choice. It could take you months to get anywhere.

It’s not a pinball cabinet. It is an LCD screen turned vertically with a digital game on it.

Honestly any Final Fantasy or JRPG for that matter. Be prepared for 100 hours, because usually they all run pretty long.

Dang, Remake was amazing to me. Just seeing all the characters and environments re-imagined in high-res graphics was worth it. Yeah, the story got a little weird near the end, but I found the game really fun.
