They had a larger dev studio head count than games like Starfield. Larian had over 400 people on BG3.

Please don’t screw up SpaceX next.
Either there is no interesting car news anymore or it is just not click-baity enough. Not a lot of car reviews or rumors anymore (besides Cybertruck)
Very possible. Or he is not that much of a genius and it is pure luck if that works out.
But even at $2k, that is more like $12k of glass replacement.
Baldurs Gate 3 IS a huge AAA game. Did you see their dev studio? It is massive.
The most recent Zelda was a good game but it felt almost like a massive DLC for the previous game. It was just too similar. So they are kind of having the same issue, not wanting to deviate too far from what was already successful.
Great, so in another 10 years we might get this truck.
Of course, I don’t think Microsoft cares if Gamepass canibalizes Starfield sales. Why would they? They own both.
BG3 is a financial monster. I think only Harry Potter did better this year. BG3 is putting up Rockstar sale numbers at least in the short term.
Well it had a strong IP and the game itself reviewed well. I think that combo made it a financial success. But like you, I skipped it because I am not fond of Rowling.
My buying habits definitely changed once I got Gamepass. I still buy the longer games like Starfield, Cyberpunk, Assassin’s Creed, but I rarely buy the smaller indie games anymore. I’d rather just play them on Gamepass.

What a Saab story
What always amazes me is the dev team for Minecraft is very small compared to the bigger AAA studios. It is just weird that it rakes in that much cash with so few people.
...and it’s not just America really anymore. It is worldwide capitalism. I don’t know if there is a solution. It will only get grimmer and grimmer for the average person.
Why do the crab’s legs not actually move, and instead they just float across the ground like a hover vehicle?
Real talk, if you just want to play through the open world and the campaign...say maybe 30 to 40 hours of play time, the game is great. All the complaining is really related to everything after level 50. It’s a mess.
With the way the game is built, it would be torture to keep playing every season starting over. The levelling at higher levels is just bad. I’ll still play Eternal realm on and off and maybe give the game more time when a full expansion DLC comes out.
You can’t solve the TCG part of scalping, but you can solve electronic scalping for things like graphic cards and game systems. Meta avoided the scalper issue by letting people place their name on a waiting list for Quest 3 pre-orders. So once you were on the list, you would eventually get sent a unit. Steam did…
