They’d already shown us with the first series of V8 Vantage what it looks like when you machine a late 60s Mustang out of a solid ingot of money; here they do the same for a late 70s Trans Am.* And I mean that in the very best way, as in, “if I hit the Powerball, we shall see if this car is for sale.”
Kind of love the ass and steamroller tires, a neat why not exercise.
The only way a K car can be worth 5 figures is if somebody important was killed in it, and I’m pretty sure Archduke Ferdinand wasn’t rolling in a T&C when he and the missus got capped. No dice.
If I were wealthy enough to be shopping for a 3rd car, this would be a fun car to take out on a nice day, to something like Cars and Coffee, to a little brewery in the mountains....
So I feel, as the resident K-car guru here, that I need to chime in. There are rules to setting collector car prices and rarity alone is not the key factor. Prices are driven by rarity, cleanliness, mileage, fun/excitement factors, and most importantly demand.
These kind of “rare finds” always leave me scratching my head. What the hell are you supposed to do with it? Any regular driving lowers its value, and in this case, it’s difficult to even say if it has ANY value. Put it back in storage for another 30+ years, and periodically visit it and admire your rare “find” while…
Huge Mopar and K car fan here, but no frickin’ way!
I know stance is worthless, but slammed classic Mercs do it for me.
Republicans always: guilty A/F projection.
I agree, show me a perp walk and I’ll believe it, until then its all nonsense. Steal a candy bar and a black kid is tossed in jail right then and there, steal millions, lie, cheap, try to steal an election, undermine the whole fabric of a country and what?... years of this shit that never amounts to anything.
I see no problem.
Every time I see Taunus I can’t help but think it’s reference to a bull’s rectum
As Muhammad Ali once said, “It ain’t braggin’ if you can do it.”
I guess now I have to listen to all those flat earth people, because it seems like gravity isn’t a thing anymore.
Just to put into perspective how dominant Simone Biles truly is: she went out of bounds on one floor routine pass and put both hands down on a landing on another floor routine pass AND STILL BEAT EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE MEET. Her level of difficulty is so beyond everyone else in gymnastics she can literally do…
I broke my collarbone just watching that move.
Another benefit to an old-school antenna on a truck is it gives you a sacrificial, non-painted low-clearance indicator. In the case of a parking garage or drive through, if the antenna doesn’t hit anything you’re good to go.
The examples on the Silverado and Ram are specifically really, really bad.
Not to mention shark fin antennas just look dumb in most cases.
