It legit never occurred to me that I could just lie to U-Haul about what I’m putting on the car trailer.

I’ve owned several of these old boats over the years and I can tell you that the spare being where it is actually works pretty well. As mentioned below, it puts more weight over the axle (especially if you’re rockin a full size instead of the donut), and if you need to get it out of the trunk you can just kinda push

HEY BIM, GUESS WHAT

Except that’s not true. The pre-collision warnings in my Impala are so obnoxious I turned them off. I’m a non-aggressive driver who squeezes every last mile out of his brakes and tires and the damn thing was still yelling at me. Totally useless in normal driving.

Yeah, you very clearly don't get what I'm saying and I'm not going to hold your hand through every example you want to throw out there.

You don’t seem to have read my post very goodly.

This car, regardless of the owners “feelings”, cannot escape its history. It’s not important enough to extract itself from the massive gravitational pull of “car built for rich Nazis in Nazi Germany”. Those forces are just too strong.

I’m glad you picked up what I was referencing :-P

I think the angle of attack from Raph could be a little more nuanced. Objectively, it’s a gorgeous car and a well done restoration.

The problem with it comes down to all the “lore” that is attached to it by the people who are doing the showing and collecting. Regardless of whether or not it can be proven it was a

Ooooooooof

Always and forever

At least the front didn’t fall off.

I’m coming around on these. They have a lot of mindful features and the design is good.

I wish more people were getting them in good colors though. All I see are boring colors and they aren’t impressive to look at like that. These fun little baby Broncos deserve to have fun colors. Let them be the car they were meant

*glances at the ‘86 Crown Vic Wagon I’m in the process of buying* haha yeah uh that sucks man uhhhhh

In all seriousness though, that seems like it would be very under-powered by modern standards.

Gotta respect Honda/Acura for doing this if the sole purpose is to send the ICE era off correctly.

Is there any car that is more consistently “right” than the GTI?

I think it’s because Cutlass is a good name for a car.

I, too, am very excited about the electric van space. It’s really the perfect platform and use case for mass EV adoption. They’re going to handle really well because of the low center of gravity and they’re going to be a lot easier to maintain.

I really want to get to a point where and electric van of some kind makes

I really don’t know for sure, I’m just kinda spitballing. What’s interesting about vehicle safety is that most of it is voluntary. Take headlights for example. Now that IIHS is rating headlights for glare and range all these manufacturers are going to be scrambling to actually make them good so that they don’t get

Really can't go wrong with the 3

A lot of the safety stuff isn’t as rigorous for vehicles like this because no one really cares. It’s the same reason Chevy can get away with selling the cabover rebadged Isuzus Elf. Do not look for the word “safety” anywhere on the website, you won’t find it lol
