@Janglesatwest: Yes! They have! And Stephen Fry himself has been in the filming for the second season these past few weeks.

Are we really supposed to believe that the Nicaraguan government:

@ShrutiBorus: Seconded on the Artemis Fowl. The writing style is a little more obtuse though, which made it harder for me to get into initially. At first, the prose reminded me of that second level of fanfiction: the one where the author has good ideas and probably got As on all their English papers in high school but

@KingArthur: Mine cost $30. It's a crappy one, but still. $30.

@Dr.LafeHubert: Thank you for the condescension. My point stands. Charles Babbage never completed either his difference engine or his analytical engine. He worked on an unfinished prototype for the first, and completed a part of the second.

@collex: It is. Ferrell is actually quite good as the voice of Megamind (and I never liked his other movies either). As it turns out, his voice is butter-smooth and fun to listen to.

@Dr.LafeHubert: Babbage only designed a computer, so while he can have that distinction, the Babbage machine can't be the first computer ... it never existed.

@Stem_Sell: I heard it "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy." Rings better, to my ears.

@-anbu-: Math porn ... mmmm.

@roninpenguin: Which kinds? I'm partial to lemon and peppermint myself, but lots of people like sandalwood.

@Gary_7vn: Although I agree with you, "information managers" has an ominous dystopian tone to it. I smell a sci-fi novel.

@WookieLifeDay: What about a female dwarf? I always thought Fili or Kili could be female (and I don't think the book ever explicitly specifies all of the dwarves' genders, though they do all have beards ... )

@ryernl: Tim from the British Office, bizarro Shaun from Shaun of the Dead, some other role in Hot Fuzz, Dr. Watson from Sherlock. He's been amazing in everything I've seen him in, and he'll be an amazing Bilbo.

Is there a play-all audio player? I've had these files sitting on my computer and I've been fiddling for ages trying to get them on my Aria. For some reason transcoding them to .ogg, .mp3 and other "supported" file formats hasn't helped :/

@Burke: The hotties aren't all female, either. Captain Awesome, anyone?

A Nutri-Matic machine ... provided him with a plastic cup filled with a liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike coffee. The way it functioned was very interesting. When the Drink button was pressed it made an instant but highly detailed examination of the subject's taste buds, a spectroscopic

@Zelda did it!: It's pretty close to "In The Hall Of The Mountain King", by Edvard Grieg (part of Peer Gynt). Not an exact match, though. [www.youtube.com]
