ew elitism wtf

Now playing

Torb’s turrets are a problem and I actually went to create a custom game to find out more about their behaviour:

that explains why it didn’t make sense lol

I actually wasn’t being sarcastic.

Maybe competitive play will limit you but sometimes hero stacking can be fun if both sides join in on it. The problem is that sometimes there’s always that one person on the team that’s too cool for skool and won’t join in on the fun.

Kinda want them to have some sort of mode that doesn’t allow doubles. They have this huge roster of fun characters that complement each other’s styles, but nope, let’s have 6 Torbjorns.

You don’t even have to counter the Tracer cheese with more cheese, though. Pharah, Mei, McCree, and Junkrat are also all pretty good at putting Tracers down quickly.

Zarya definitely feels like she has a higher skill floor than the other tanks and I’m looking forward to seeing what she’ll bring to the table as people get used to playing her.

When a single character forces a whole team to change its comp, it says a lot on design flaws to be honest. “You will die unless you precisely do X, precisely pick Y”, I think it doesn’t belong to OW’s general design philosophy. Turrets are not op, they’re just sucking the fun out of everything else the game has to

Yeah, hero stacking is not a strat so much as it’s a troll team comp. All Tracer is annoying, but can managed with 4-5 Winstons and 1-2 Lucios.

Yeah seriously, especially considering how short the cooldown is to put up another one. Give them a slight damage boost and maybe 1 or 2 fewer hammer whacks to upgrade, but also a slight delay to turn and aim... as it stands now, it’s like going against a DarkSim from Perfect Dark.

I can imagine 6 tracers. If they all had the same skin, that would be even more devastating. You wouldn’t even be able to tell if you’re shooting the same Tracer.

There’s a reason why the TF2 competitive scene does not allow stacking and why many competitive players are upset that the competitive mode in overwatch is going to allow it even though tournaments are already banning it.

One word. “I will break you”.

They really need to rebalance turrets a bit. I’m fine with being shredded by a well placed turret but once I’m dead the next person heading in to take it out should have more than .001 seconds before the thing has swiveled 180 degrees to kill them too. The damn things should have a more realistic reaction/aiming rate

Anytime a team is hero stacking, it’s not a strategy. The whole idea that you need a well balanced team is kind of BS to a certain degree. You can hero stack ALMOST any single one hero and win very fast. I was once in a game where we hero stacked Pharah and never lost for a good number of games (no one ever survives 6

Zenyatta maybe? He shreds tanks pretty well.

Tracers can very easily harass Zarya and force her to pop her Barrier prematurely, then just stop firing at her so she doesn’t build Energy and kill her once the Barrier drops. S76 is very good at this too.

Full D.va teams can essentially do the same things, staggering their E’s to block shots, and just rushing together to soak up the turret with crap tons of HP. Both teams CAN be countered, but gimmick-team comps always have an advantage in pick up games because your average pug isn’t going to react in anything even
