I’m playing on Xbox, so my theory is that most players are conditioned to play FPS games that way (get the best KDA, be the “I” in team, etc). I agree with you, support and tanks are fun... really all classes have their time to shine.

My favorite thing in the entire world is when a McCree walks through his own Reinhardt shield to throw a flashback and the enemy widows rips him in half. I hate it because it’s my team mate but jesus fucking Christ some people are stupid. It’s like watching a prank you know about and some unsuspecting mongoloid

I love playing as Zarya, getting a team kill with my ultimate. . . And play of the game goes to one of my teammates. . . And then my name comes up in MVP voting and I don’t get one vote, because instead of displaying my 35 kills, or 80% on fire, they display my 40 bubbles. . .

.

This morning I had five teammates dancing around the fucking objective pretending this was a team deathmatch while I’m skating in circles trying to cap it as Lucio. GET ON THE FUCKING POINT. WE ARE LOSING. THEIR PERCENTAGE GOES UP BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE POINT WHY DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THIS

And for the love of god when your tank says regroup, then regroup and hide behind his giant energy shield instead of getting shot in the head every five seconds.

it was probably something like xxShadowK1ller or BradTheMadDogBongster

People are to busy being XxXMLG420BlazitFagtzXxX to even support a their team most of the time. I blame the modern military shooters for make the FPS genre dumb as all fuck. I know standing next to a cart or standing in a blue (or red) square is mindbogglingly profound and uncharted territory but all you have to do to

Blizzard is making a horrible mistake with disabling the ability to avoid players. Instead of being able to block people that I find toxic, incompetent, or both, I have to bear their miserable company.

I’ve been in this scenario. I usually just pick Lucio. He’s probably the best option when trying to help a bunch of terrible players. If they want heals, they gotta stand by you (so you just got to stand on the point) while you dance around being surprisingly tanky and dishing out (some) damage.

Yeah, I really hate those matches where no one else wants to play tank nor support.

There is merit in sticking with the character you play best though. Did we not just see, earlier this week, a Korean woman sticking with Zarya no matter who came at her and wrecking everyone’s shit? Obviously she is a pro-level gamer, but I’m of the opinion that I still serve my team best by sticking with a character

This happened to me too. Payload was nearly ON the spot, but the defense was fighting hard and we were just about in OT. I was Mercy and res’d four teammates at once. Game went OT, recharged my ult (that Mercy ult charges way too fast) and managed a follow-up 2-man res to win the match. Play of the game: Bastion

Now playing

It sounds like you might not know what Genji does...

Uh, have you ever seen a GOOD Genji? He’s an amazing flanker and one of the few hard counters for Bastion. Yes, in inexperienced hands he may be an unwieldy waste, but, when played well, he’s fantastic!

Worst part on playing PC Overwatch. 1 in 5 matches seem to have this same type of player who won’t adjust to the enemy team players. Then they insist in the chat that it’s us who suck, and we should be following their lead.

Dude, whoever was playing genji was to blame. 100% That character is the worst in the game, he serves no purpose other than to steal kills that were pretty much already secured. You should feel guilty any time you pick him.

Need a tank? Genji’s not your man
Need some damage? Genji’s not your man
Battlefield control?

A team mate of mine had a 5 man rez, then killed the other teams mercy and Genji off the point.

perhaps we were losing because we didn’t have a formation, I was the only support, nobody was tanking or flanking, and it seemed like everyone assumed that our seventh teammate, Casper The Friendly Ghost, would push the payload

This is why I can never get into games like this: everyone is required to think in terms of

POTG’s are probably on a point system where each kill/assist/damage dealt/not dying is all worth different amount of points. If the system is based on points I don’t see how changing it to where it looks for assists as well and looks for massive points between multiple people would be that hard to change. I could be
