Conventional Prompt Global Strike. It’s been experimented with. Heck, they were going to put anti-airfield warheads on Pershings...before deciding that really was a bad idea. Still, a few years ago they tested the Advanced Hypersonic Weapon. If the system is only conventional the odds that it triggers a nuclear

    What a load.

“if he can force NATO into a position where it ignores its Article 5 obligations, then he can essentially destroy NATO altogether.”

Lol. They were in and out in a couple months. By 2009 the opportunity for action was long past.

Sweden believes that Article 42(7) Treaty of European Union (Aka Lisbon treaty) provides a mutual defense clause for CDSP members.

“Finally you’re assuming the warheads would travel in the launch vehicles. You’d almost certainly be wrong. They would have their own space with their own security. The missiles will be armed when needed.”

“There is no free lunch. And if you look at the Gulf War and Iraq invasion you will see that the USMC never based the Harrier at austere fields.”

Pretty, but no. It's a bunch of ticos and burkes.

Stennis “human interest” story from 2002

You never ended up in overflow berthing...

You know what’s more impressive? This pic:

Awww...I liked the Stennis masquerading as the Akagi or Hiryu. Now we can’t imagine simultaneous port and starboard air ops with CVNs...

Nah, leave it. We can pretend its our version of Hiryu and Akagi. :)

Looks like it was taken during golden hour. It’s hard, even for me, to screw up photos during golden hour if you manage to focus and have even half decent composition.

The 91N6E radar is a 3D phased array acquisition radar but not a OTH radar. The conjecture is that these are data linked to the Nebo (L-band and VHF radars) for better VLO detection but that’s not a OTH system either.
