@Kuro: Go the HTC route. They have the best product quality for mobile devices that I've ever seen. HTC and Palm, but Palm hasn't made that many modern phones. (Except the Pre Plus, and I love and adore mine. I gave up my HTC Droid Eris a couple weeks ago...software problems.)
