I'm wondering how many helplines received calls from women over this. Yes, it's a classic response for people to put down our reactions and cry out (as one ironically cliched individual did to me on twitter) "Oh lighten up, it's just a joke!"

My thoughts also. It may have started out as a preplanned kiss, but it felt like a violent assault and she appeared to me to be quite shaken by it. I thought Cranston was revolting.

OMG thank you for saying this. I felt exactly the same way! In fact I'm still processing it today, feeling as though I watched a public assault where everyone laughed and now it's going to be swept under the rug as a pre-arraged 'gag'. Gag is exactly what I did.

I posted a response to this but I don't see it. Yes, I was actually appalled at the assault *cough cough* oh I mean kiss. I felt as though I had just witnessed an assault that everyone was now going to laugh off as a pre-arranged gag.
