I live in AZ and moths are a huge problem here - I know people who’ve had their whole wardrobes eaten. Moths will go after any type of natural fiber (wool, cotton, silk) - they don’t eat the fiber, exactly, they eat the food/drink/sweat/whatever that’s staining the clothing and the fiber along with it. I personally

He and his wife have (had?) a horrible dog. The story was pretty complicated, but they got into it with their condo board over the horrible dog and a related issue involving fumigation - I think they wouldn’t let the fumigators into their condo because of the horrible dog and also because they were secret hoarders?

Ugh, how scary. Glad you’re okay and sorry your neighbors are jerks!

I think a lot of people who are fucked up about sex assume EVERYONE is fucked up about sex, so we need harsh, limiting laws as well as lots of stigma around sexual behavior. Otherwise, the thinking goes, literally everyone will be out there preying upon vulnerable teens. They honestly don’t get that they’re

My husband’s family used to be passive aggressive in this exact way. However, about five years ago MIL got mad at FIL and changed her name back to her maiden name to stick it to him. So now everything from her is carefully addressed to my actual name, while BIL carries the passive aggressive naming torch.

I hate open concept for this exact reason. I bought a house about five years ago, and deliberately only looked at places that WERE NOT open concept. Literally every agent at every house I looked at was all “And you could make it open concept! Take down that wall! Move that doorway!” Just no.

I think the issue is that people often use “sexual assault” as a euphemism for rape. As a result, people feel uncomfortable using it to describe lesser offenses (like a hand on the ass), even though that type of lesser thing IS actually a form of sexual assault.

Flake could have styled himself as a classic low taxes/small gov’t Republican who oh-so-mildly opposed Trump and probably managed to make a go of it, but he’s either terrified of being primaried or too dumb to play the game. So, yeah: bye bitch. At least his office staff was always really nice during phone calls (I’m

Today’s episode of The Daily was MADDENING for this reason and also because he spit out every conservative dog whistle he could think of re: the liberal media to avoid talking about the fact that innocent people don’t hand over $32 million without a goddamn trial.

Yeah, unless he’s training for an EXTREMELY specialized post in the U.S. gov’t or something this makes no sense. It’s obviously one more way he’s signaling to this woman that he’s not going anywhere.

I starred both yours and saltyladyv4's post because you both make good points and I really don’t know where I come down on this issue. It’s disturbing that people often consume media about real-life violence (particularly sexual violence) for the “wrong” reasons but does that mean it shouldn’t exist? Probably not, but

Yeah, I would have found what was described (I still haven’t seen it) really traumatizing when I was pregnant or when my kid was a baby. To me, this was clearly the impulse behind that commenter’s trigger warning and I think that’s valid. I was certainly in the minority on that site though - they were all about

I’m 43 and the same thing is happening to me. It’s partly being a mother (I can’t watch anything in which children are mistreated) and partly not wanting to add to the endless horror show of daily life in 2017.

I’ve never commented before, so I imagine this will be waaaay down in the grays, but here goes:
