Iron Fist totally isn't the best martial artist. The number of times he gets pounded by Asian characters is too many to count.

That trope is not “racist.” And the trope is more “completely random outsider becomes new chosen one.” Which is one that cross-cuts all sorts of races and/or cultures.

Agreed. Casting him Asian plays right into racist tropes. Oh, he’s a martial artist so naturally he NEEDS to be of Asian decent. The character is white. Get over it. Fucking real life murder and institutional racism plaguing entire communities isn’t enough? We need to make up petty bullshit like this to be offended by?
