What about Rex Manning Day!?

This is my new favorite holiday.

It’s because the world is a flaming pile of shit right now, and everything sucks. And seeing joy is just about all we fucking have. And this girl is joy. And pretty fucking talented. And super fucking cool. And we all need that in our lives.

That’s where I’m at.  Cosby the ideal vs. the man are just too hard to separate and all the good he did was undone by his own evil. :(

The best TV dad was Heathcl- ... You’re right. It was Uncle Phil. That scene where Will is crying after Ben Vereen skips out on him again... that’s some bery touching television.

1. This went from...intriguing... to “mark this on the calendar”.

It can never be said enough: Fuck cancer. This is awful, I feel so bad for his family.

Rubbing alcohol (90% or higher, not the 70% stuff) works just as well on resin, although it doesn’t evaporate quite as rapidly.

Don’t know about that, but I use a steam mop, which is the same general principle. It works like an iron, you put in water, it heats it and jets the steam out and the floor cleans easy as you like.

Long shot, but it would be nice to see a streaming service pick it up.

One of the thing I like about Freaks and Geeks is how it acknowledges the importance of social class. Lindsey gets to dabble in being a freak because she’s from a loving upper middle class family that expects her to go to college and have a career. But her friends are poor and/or have abusive/disengaged parents, so

Paula Pell is WONDERFUL.

Haha! Mental Illness is funny!

It sure is neat how people keep holding up Louis CK as an example of a guy whose career was “ruined” by MeToo and “cancel culture,” and meanwhile he’s touring the country as the personal guest of the most popular comedian alive.

I watched this when I was a kid and believe it or not my main takeaway was purely educational: they wrote that letter of complaint to the sunglasses company! And they got a whole box of cool sunglasses, enough for everyone! It really made me understand the power of writing letters.

For some reason, I remember the scene of Harmon teaching the kids how to write complaint letters to businesses so they could get free stuff.

Oh, man. I loved this movie as a kid, and apparently had no idea who Carl Reiner was at the time, because when I read this article, my first and overwhelming thought was “Carl Reiner directed Summer School?!?!?!”
