I loved many of these shows but if we’re judging by “WB-ness”, let us not forget the short-lived, but VERY WB show (and Dawson’s Creek spin-off) Young Americans. Here’s the opening credits in case anyone wants to be reminded of a time when Kate Moenning was romantically paired with Ian Somerhalder. It’s like an

I want to say that VM was on UPN? I didn’t watch it until a few years later on DVD, but I don’t think it was WB.

Popular remains, in my opinion, Ryan Murphy’s most watchable show - it was so well-cast and funny as hell.

They stopped selling the souffles in Canada (at least in my area) when the pandemic started, I think. I don’t go to Panera for breakfast often, but when I have, I always got the artichoke one if they had any - it was SO GOOD. I still miss them. They could do a swift business if they do what a lot of chains do and sell

Thanks, I’ve heard good things about it but didn’t really know the premise. I’ll check it out!

I’ve been hearing so many great things about this movie since SXSW earlier this year and I can’t wait to finally see it. I’m not as familiar with Rachel Sennot, but Ayo Edebiri elevates everything I’ve seen her in.

This movie premiered at SXSW in March or April. A lot of critics and non-critics saw it there, or at other festivals since.

Interesting - I’ve had the croissant one twice since they started serving breakfast in Canada, and I’ve been impressed both times by how perfectly cooked the egg was (fully cooked, but with a slightly jammy yolk), and the great bacon on it. Plus, the side potatoes were amazing. It’s a bit heavy for regular consumption

This release reads like all comms from this organization. They always use over-the-top negative language, attack the person they’re speaking out against from every possible angle, and in the process, make themselves sound completed uneducated. Because most of them are. Because they work on boats instead of going to

I think the projection is probably based on factual things, though, like pre-sales. I was looking at buying tickets for me and my friends for Barbie, and noticed that most shows for Friday and Saturday evening at all of the theatres in our area were at least 75%-80% sold out already (based on looking at which seats

I will happily watch a scene of Che’s standup every week if it means I never again have to hear about Brady’s sex life with his girlfriend.

I had an amazing professor, Morgan Holmes, when I was in University in the late 90's who has been at the forefront of activism on behalf of intersex children for decades. She, like many other kids, had a personal experience that has significantly altered her life forever, because a decision was made for her when she

No, I mean staccato, but I don’t know if I’m using it correctly. I just find that in Prince’s version, the instrumentation is very sharp and quick, (which is what I meant by staccato), whereas in Lauper’s version, the vocals and instrumentation flow better, and isn’t as jarring. That’s what I was trying to get across.

I would have put Darling Nikki and 7 much higher on the list, but this was a fun read regardless. I will say, I’ve always been partial to Cyndi Lauper’s cover of “When You Were Mine”, over Prince’s original. I like the pacing and the richer sound of her version more than the thinner, very staccato original.

I really hate being sick, even if it’s just a really bad cold. I deal with the public every day in a small space, and lots of people come to my office who are clearly sick, sniffling, coughing, etc. and I don’t want their germs. So for me, it’s not even about Covid necessarily. But in my opinion, if a person is sick,

Me too - what an unexpected gem.

Just a reminder that Kid Rock grew up the child of a millionaire on a 5+ acre estate way outside of Detroit and his entire schtick is bullshit.

Me too. Once they transition from the sweet, mild banana flavour to the more aged, robust flavour, I don’t enjoy eating them (plus they get all stringy). I love bananas, but honestly they have like a two day window for me until they’re used for bread or muffins.

This was a great look back at an incredible catalogue but as I was a 12 year old girl when I got into DM in the late 80's, both “Somebody” and “A Question of Lust” will always rank high on my personal list of their best ever songs. Both were dreamy and romantic but also felt cooler than most other love songs of the

My guess would be so that they can point to these members as proof that the party is not anti-Semitic, despite all the dog whistles and outright anti-Semitic things so many people in the party continue to say. The same reason why they love a conservative woman, gay, Black person, or any other marginalized group.
