My local sushi place has been great when packing shrimp and veg tempura whenever I order bento from them. They basically divide the top of the rectangular box by drawing an ‘x’ across the top, then cut out the two longer triangles so that the top of the box is partially open and condensation doesn’t collect. Whether

I actually have the opposite opinion. I find the Popeye’s sandwich overly greasy. The other main difference when I tasted them was that KFC uses sweet pickles instead of dill which I normally don’t like, but with the chicken and spicy mayo, they worked better for me. Also, the KFC one seems just as decadent, but it has

This has been at the top of my ‘must watch’ list since seeing the trailer months ago. I’m really hoping the studio will offer a VOD option in North America because there’s no way I’m going to a theatre any time soon. Not to mention the fact that theatres aren’t even operating in Toronto or nearby cities due to

My dad loves butter tarts, and is super particular about them, always trying to find the one that reminds him of his grandmother’s recipe. My mom tried a few times, but got frustrated and gave up, especially once they found a local bakery that he really loved. For anyone in the western GTA, the Hot Oven bakery in

One of the first episodes I think of when I think of this show was the one where Aunt Viv auditioned for some sort of dance situation - I can’t recall the details. But I do remember Hubert acting and dancing the HELL out of the audition scene, and then doing a hilarious drop to the floor after she’d proven herself to

If you’re in Canada by chance, they’ve announced it will be available here Nov. 26 on all of the places where you can buy/rent movies (itunes, rogers on demand, etc). Yay! I will be supporting this movie with my $ and my eyeballs too.

I’ve been waiting for this one since I first heard it had been greenlit and the trailer did not disappoint. Now I “patiently” await news of it being available somehow in Canada...

19 year old girls, too. I started university the fall after this came out, and Wicca was THE thing among the activist, Womyn’s Centre volunteering, hippie chicks, thanks in large part to this movie. There were many (harmless) rituals, sharing circles and spells cast under full moons that year.

I do think it matters if you grew up eating the sauce. In law school, one of our friends had never been to SC in her life and we couldn’t believe it, so we went, telling her how iconic the sauce is. She hated it. Thought it was disgusting. We couldn’t believe we were all eating the same food. I don’t know if I would

I would counter your Passion Flakie argument with the Billot Log. I can’t keep them in the house because I can’t resist them. Vanilla sponge, vanilla creme, “jam”, and coconut - what’s not to like? Passion Flakies are good, but a bit on the dry side imho.

Ginger beef is pretty standard at many Chinese restaurants in Ontario. I just had it last weekend.

Not to mention the recent decision to go back to phase 2 in 3 cities is ridiculous. All it’s doing is making people migrate to nearby cities to do the things they can’t do at home, like go to the gym or a restaurant. What’s that going to do besides spread infections further and faster than before? As someone who lives

I will never part with my My So-Called Life or Freaks and Geeks sets either.

In university I was visiting a friend on her campus and saw posters for a Rex Manning Day party (it was the late 90's) and I had a sudden urge to switch schools because I couldn’t believe that my lame school didn’t do the same thing.

I want one so badly. Here in Ontario, Canada, where we don’t have Sonic, we call this ‘hospital ice’ because the ice machines at our local hospitals are nugget-style and they’re the best. I can’t justify spending 600-700 CDN on one but as a chronic ice-chewer, I would cherish it.

That being said, one of my favourite and most memorable episodes was the one where Aunt Viv auditioned for a dance production of some kind. Hubert was SO GOOD. I can still see it perfectly in my mind and I haven’t watched it in at least a decade.

I like texture in an m&m, so I’m going to suggest a mix of peanut, almond and crispy.

I think it should be canceled this year. In Canada, our numbers are obviously much lower than the US, but they’re starting to trend upward after weeks of decline. I think people are starting to become more lax with social distancing, and now that school is starting I think it’s only going to get worse. I feel for the

This is from her original nemeses post, so you can rest easy:

I have not had the luck with this that people have promised me. I’ve tried letting it sit for a bit, but it dries really quickly. I hate my glass cooktop too (I rent, so I didn’t really have a choice). Do you have some special way of using it that works particularly well?
